About Drama 101 Workshop

Drama 101 is our most popular and versatile workshop — a dynamic introduction to professional acting techniques inspired by the world of the West End.

Designed to immerse students in the atmosphere of a real rehearsal room, this session explores the skills, discipline and creative collaboration required of professional performers. Through practical exercises and performance tasks, students develop stage presence, characterisation and ensemble awareness in a supportive and engaging environment.

Whether linked to a theatre visit or delivered as a standalone workshop, Drama 101 offers students a genuine insight into how actors prepare, rehearse and perform at the highest level.

Drama 101 workshop concludes with a Q&A, giving students the opportunity to ask about rehearsal processes, auditions and careers in theatre.

Where do the workshops take place?

Our workshops take place in professional Central London studios.

How long are the workshops?

Our workshops are usually 90 minutes long, but all our sessions can be tailored to suit your group’s needs.

How much do the workshops cost?

Workshops start from £17pp with a minimum charge for 25 students.

Who delivers the workshops?

All our workshops are led by experienced West End professionals.

Can individuals join a workshop?

At the moment all of our workshops are only available for group bookings.

Do you only take group bookings?

Yes, we work exclusively with groups.

Can you deliver workshops in schools?

Yes, we can travel to schools anywhere in the UK. The price for this will differ from our London based workshops.

What happens if our group arrives late?

We will always try to extend the session with the studio and workshop leader, so that the group receives their full allocated time. If this isn’t possible, we’ll ensure the time available is used in the most effective and valuable way.

What should students wear?

Comfortable, breathable clothing with layers is recommended. Students should wear soft shoes such as trainers or dance shoes if the workshop is dance based.

Is there space to store bags and coats?

Storage is limited. We recommend bringing minimal bags and coats. Some shelving is available at the sides and back of the studios, but space cannot be guaranteed.

Do the studios have disabled access?

There is limited disabled access at London studios. Wherever possible, we will try and accommodate any disabled access requirements.

Is parking available at the studios?

Parking is not usually available. Parking in Central London is very limited and restricted, but coaches will be able to drop off students nearby to any studios we use. Our studios are all within walking distance of the Underground.

Can you tailor workshops to meet any specific needs?

Yes, we offer bespoke workshops and can create tailored programmes to suit your group’s goals.

Do you offer workshops not listed on your website?

Yes, bespoke workshops can be created on request.

Which shows can workshops be based on?

Workshops can be based on any show, including current or past West End or touring productions.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

There is no minimum or maximum group size. However, workshops prices start from £17pp with a minimum charge for 25 students.

Can a group book more than one workshop?

Yes, we can create multi-workshop events or programmes that run over several days.

How do we pay for our workshop?

Payment is made by bank transfer upon receipt of an invoice. Please refer to our terms and conditions for full details.
